Pasquale Valenti, 87 of Saugus died at home January 12th, surrounded by his family. Born in Marsala Sicily he was the son of the late Vincenzo and Sebastiana Valenti.
Pasquale was self-employed and worked as a mason in and around the North Shore and after retiring from that, he could be found working at Brother’s Deli on Market Street assisting the patrons with finding a parking space. He loved to be out in his garden growing his own tomatoes. He enjoyed being around family and having dinner with them. On Sundays he would travel to Wareham to be with his sister Rosa and her family. Pasquale adored his grandchildren very much and would educate them on the proper way to grow tomatoes.
Pasquale is survived by his children Josephine Valenti of Saugus, Enzo Valenti and his wife Lisa of N. Carolina, Sara Valenti Tanner and her husband Chris of Peabody, Vincent Valenti and his wife Tiffany of Saugus and Pauline Valenti of Ft. Lauderdale, FL., his sisters Rosa Migliore and Sara Valenti, his 18 grandchildren, 10 great grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews.
Pasquale’s family would like to especially thank Dino Colantuoni for being a close friend and caretaker and being by Pasquale’s side day and night over the past year.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend visiting hours Friday January 15th from 4:00 PM - 7:00 PM. In accordance with local and state guidelines due to COVID-19 pandemic please wear a mask and be aware of social distancing when entering the funeral home.
