Joseph T. Ostrowski, 87, of Saugus died January 9th at home after a brief illness. Born in Saugus he was the son the of the late Thomas and Blanche (Rydzewski) Ostrowski. Raised and educated in Saugus, Joe worked as a crossing guard for the Saugus school department and was a fixture at the Veterans Memorial Elementary School on Hurd St. for many years. Joe was also the head usher at the former St, Michael’s Church in Lynn. He was a devoted son, brother and uncle who will be deeply missed. Joseph is survived by his sisters Jennie Horne of Lynnfield, Blanche Cieszka of Lynn, his nephew Rev. Peter Dombrowski his nieces Gale Rawding and Linda Russo and several grand nephews and nieces, He was predeceased by his siblings Helen Robleski, Sophie Cummins, Anna Dombroski, Lottie Hatfield and Mary Novakowski. Relatives and friends are invited to attend his funeral service from the Nadworny Funeral Home 798 Western Ave., Lynn, Tuesday at 10:00 AM. Burial in St. Mary’s Cemetery, Lynn.
