Francis S. Ruggeri, 91, of Lynn, beloved husband of the late Claire J. (Huskins) Ruggeri, died September 6, 2020 at the Kaplan Family Hospice House in Danvers. Born in South Boston he was the son of the late Sebastian and Christine (MacDonald) Ruggeri. He was raised and educated in “Southie” a graduate of Boston English High School Class of 1947. Frank went on to serve his country with the United States Army Corps of Engineers. He was stationed in the Philippines where he was a surveyor during the Korean War. Frank continued his education after the service attending Tufts University and graduating with a degree in engineering. Frank was employed by Boston Edison. Frank’s greatest joy in recent years was attending his granddaughter’s graduations, and sporting events. No matter where the games were held Frank was always in the stands being very supportive. Francis is survived by his daughter Marie A. Hanlon and her husband Daniel P. Hanlon, Jr, his granddaughters, Nicole M. Hanlon and Rachel L. Hanlon all of Lynn, and several cousins, nephews and nieces. He was predeceased by his brother Donald Ruggeri. Private services will be held and burial will be in St. Mary’s Cemetery, Lynn.
