Lois W. (Watkinson) Gallo

July 27, 1936 ~ March 22, 2018 (age 81)

Lois Gallo (Watkinson), of Chelsea, Beverly, Andover, and Jupiter, FL, beloved wife of the late Frank Gallo and George Peters passed away peacefully March 22, 2018. Born and raised in Mt. Vernon, NY the daughter of the late Henry and Veronica (O’Grady) Watkinson. Lois, who lived with intention and courage for 81 years, her love of God and family, brought transcendence to her life and relationships. Her passions for motherhood, children, mental health, wellness, and 12 Step Recovery fueled her indomitable spirit. A gifted artist, Lois found solace and wisdom through reading, writing, poetry, painting, religion and spirituality. A lifelong liberal democrat with a commitment to learning, peace and equality, Lois walked her talk by receiving her undergraduate degree from Merrimack College, her Masters Degree in Religious Education and Pastoral Care from Boston College, and her Masters Degree in Social Work from Boston University. She is survived by her sons Mark Peters and his wife Siane, Kevin Peters and his wife Aileen, Christopher Peters and his wife Cheryl, Brian Peters and his wife Charity and daughter Laurie Paskavitz and her husband Mike; grandchildren Matthew, Aaron, Christie, Danny, Jacob, Hannah, Adam, Ryan, Justin, Taylor, Derek, Lindsey, Joshua, Carl, Breanne, Brendan, Alison, and Magnolia; and great-grandchildren Wanda, Madison, Luke, and Lily, her brother Robert Watkinson and his wife Helen. She is also survived by many beloved step-children and grandchildren of the Sanford family as well as cousins, nieces, dear friends, and caregivers too numerous to mention. Warm and loving to the end, Lois taught everyone she met how powerful a smile can be. Memorial services will be held at Saint Luke's Episcopal Church, 201 Washington Ave. in Chelsea, on April 7 at 2 pm. Assisting the family with arrangements is the Nadworny Funeral Home 798 Western Ave., Lynn.
